Pci Multimedia Sound Card Drivers

With VCRs quickly disappearing form homes and being replaced by DVD and Blu-ray players it is becoming hard to take your VHS home videos with you for display. However, it is possible to copy your video tape information to a CD. Doing so allows you to watch the video content on any computer with a CD drive. This also backs up your video information for storage purposes.

The steps are:

  • Install a TV capture card
  • Connect the VCR to the PC via the TV card
  • Capture the audio/video
  • Burn the CD

There are a few things to remember:

  • You need a large amount of hard drive space
  • A CD will take much less video than a DVD
  • The initial recording will take as long as the source VHS!

Bearing these things in mind, here is a run-down of the processes required.
